Agriculture Careers Vocab

 Soil Scientist: Soil scientists are typically involved in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting soil data; inspecting sites; and planning management and conservation measures. They use air and satellite images in their research.

Entomologist: Entomology is the study of insects and their relationship to humans, the environment, and other organisms. Entomologists make great contributions to such diverse fields as agriculture, chemistry, biology, human/animal health, molecular science, criminology, and forensics.

Crop Scientist: Agricultural and food scientists typically do the following: Conduct research and experiments to improve the productivity and sustainability of field crops and farm animals. Create new food products and develop new and better ways to process, package, and deliver them.

Nutritionist: A nutritionist is a person who advises others on matters of food and nutrition and their impacts on health. Some people specialize in particular areas, such as sports nutrition, public health, or animal nutrition, among other disciplines.

Accountant: An accountant is a practitioner of accounting or accountancy. Accountants who have demonstrated competency through their professional associations' certification exams.
